Savannah received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The Ohio State University, where she focused on sports rehabilitation, performance-based care, and return-to-sport recovery. During her time at Ohio State, she completed multiple clinical experiences that further developed her passion for working with active individuals and athletes. She also developed a special interest in treating performing artists through her experience working alongside the rehabilitation team at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. During this time, she gained a deeper appreciation for the role of cross-training and strength-based programming as key components of injury prevention and long-term performance in dancers and performing artists. Through her clinical experiences, Savannah has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.
Originally from Davidson, North Carolina, Savannah grew up as a competitive dancer, which sparked her lifelong appreciation for movement, performance, and injury prevention. Prior to attending Ohio State, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Tennessee. While at Tennessee, she worked alongside numerous athletic teams within the sports medicine department, including football, cheer and dance, and women’s basketball. These experiences deepened her interest in sports performance, recovery, and being part of a collaborative team environment.
Savannah takes an active, hands-on approach to rehabilitation and is passionate about creating a supportive environment where patients feel empowered throughout their recovery journey. She values a collaborative, team-centered approach to care and is dedicated to helping patients return to the activities they love with confidence.
Outside of the clinic, Savannah enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants around Charlotte, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. She is an avid football fan and you will always hear her cheering on the Volunteers and the Buckeyes!
Fun Fact: Savannah traveled to Thailand for three weeks to participate in an immersive physical therapy internship experience.
