BRITTANY HILLS, CA
Brittany Hills is originally from upstate New York but has lived all over the world, including Australia and Singapore. She spent her childhood as an elite gymnast training 30 to 40 hours a week for 15 years. This is where her desire to work in the Physical Therapy field truly began. Having dealt with numerous injuries and career ending back surgery, Brittany knows the importance of proper physical therapy and preventative strategies in order to keep the body at its strongest. She knows how to fight back through injury and in doing so brings a unique set of personal qualifications to her practice.
Brittany attended the University of South Carolina where she received her B.S. in Exercise Science before going on to complete her Masters in Rehabilitative Exercise. Prior to starting at Wingate University for her Physical Therapy doctorate which she will receive in 2019, Brittany had the opportunity to work at Carolina Sports Clinic for three years. This opportunity gave her the tools she needed to enter PT school at an advantage. She was able to work very closely with Physical Therapists and Chiropractors in her time at CSC enabling her to retain an amazing amount of knowledge in what the body needs to be and perform at its best.
As evidenced by her education, Brittany thrives on the opportunity to learn and expand her abilities at every juncture. This is what has led her to Smartcore. Her prior experience will help her to incorporate different biomechanics and stretching techniques as well as basic physical therapy to help people build upon their strong foundation and continue to help their body reach its full potential, whether it be for athletics or everyday life.
When Brittany is not at school she loves to travel and spend time with her family and dogs. She spends most weekends traveling to University of Michigan women’s gymnastics meets, where her sister is on the team. Brittany loves to teach and create collaborative learning experiences, so feel free to reach out to her with any questions at any time.
